Google has apologized to India after its AI tool Gemini’s controversy.

The controversy started when the user asked  from Gemini if PM Modi a fascist, and it replied some experts have characterised Modi as a fascist.

The Government of India had earlier sent a notice to Google to give an explanation of this unsubstantiated result

Google apologised to India and called their platform Gemini unreliable

The government has also announced that AI platforms will now require a permit to operate its applications in India

The competitor of ChatGPT, Gemini, is also accused of being racist

Gemini either refused to generate images of white people or produced pictures of people with darker skin tones.

In response to these allegations, Google paused the image generation feature of Gemini

It further said that they are working on the reported issues

Amid all this controversy, Google CEO Sunder Pichai has asked to resign from the post
